With 189 member countries, staff from more than 170 countries, and offices in over 130 locations, the World Bank Group is a unique global partnership: five institutions working for sustainable Partnering With Governments
Together, IBRD and IDA form the World Bank, which provides financing, policy advice, and technical assistance to governments of developing countries. IDA focuses on the world’s poorest countries, while IBRD assists middle-income and creditworthy poorer countries.
Partnering With The Private Sector
IFC, MIGA, and ICSID focus on strengthening the private sector in developing countries. Through these institutions, the World Bank Group provides financing, technical assistance, political risk insurance, and settlement of disputes to private enterprises, including financial institutions.
One World Bank Group
While our five institutions have their own country membership, governing boards, and articles of agreement, we work as one to serve our partner countries. Today’s development challenges can only be met if the private sector is part of the solution. But the public sector sets the groundwork to enable private investment and allow it to thrive. The complementary roles of our institutions give the World Bank Group a unique ability to connect global financial resources, knowledge, and innovative solutions to the needs of developing countries.

IFC—a sister organization of the World Bank and member of the World Bank Group—is the largest global development institution focused exclusively on the private sector in developing countries. The Bank Group has set two goals for the world to achieve by 2030: end extreme poverty and promote shared prosperity in every country.
We leverage our products and services—as well as products and services of other institutions across the World Bank Group—to create markets that address the biggest development challenges of our time. We apply our financial resources, technical expertise, global experience, and innovative thinking to help our clients and partners overcome financial, operational, and other challenges.
IFC is also a leading mobilizer of third-party resources for projects. Our willingness to engage in difficult environments and our leadership in crowding-in private finance enable us to extend our footprint and have a development impact well beyond our direct resources.
Our projects and programs are evaluated by the Independent Evaluation Group. Accountability is ensured by the independent Office of the Compliance Advisor Ombudsman.

At Tell Group, we view the world differently.
Since the 2008 financial crises, there has been a paradigm shift in the global markets, leaving many industry players ill-prepared to adapt. In a world of uncertainty and negative real interest rates, it is imperative to embrace a new way of investment thinking and execution.
We are a team of financial industry experts with a shared vision developed through many years of common experience and collaboration. Through strong investor acumen and an entrepreneurial affinity, we have developed an innovative, state-of-the-art operating platform to navigate through the new normal in financial markets. This allows us to seize opportunities to create and deliver uncommon value to sophisticated investors in both emerging and mature markets alike.
It is a challenge to gain a competitive advantage by being the first to capitalize on opportunity, as well as extract value from trends and distressed market turning points.
Our mission is to deliver world-class, yet unconventional, financial services and solutions in an ever-changing landscape.
Our solutions rely on both in-depth global market knowledge and focused local insights. This combination provides us access to numerous resources, capital and funding in strategic economies in Mediterranean Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
